The hospital members of the Hospital Council are organized by
geographically-defined sections, each with specially designated
staff, to align opportunities for hospitals to pursue common
goals and shared interests that may be county-specific and/or
regional in nature.
Section meetings occur routinely to allow for timely action
around local issues as well as State and Federal issues with
local implications.
The Central Coast Section of the Hospital Council is comprised
of 4 hospitals, representing approximately 451 licensed
beds, in San Luis Obispo County.
The East Bay Section of the Hospital Council is comprised
of 35 hospitals, representing 5,829 licensed beds
in Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano Counties.
The Northern Sierra Section is comprised of 21 hospitals,
representing 1,400 licensed beds in Butte, Colusa, Glenn,
Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Tehama and
Trinity Counties.
The Sacramento / Sierra Section is comprised
of 25 hospitals, representing over 4,500 licensed
beds in El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and
Yuba Counties.
The San Francisco / Marin Section of the Hospital Council is
comprised of 16 hospitals, representing over 4,600 licensed
beds in San Francisco and Marin counties.
The San Joaquin / Mother Lode section is comprised of 12
hospitals, representing over 1,300 licensed beds in Alpine,
Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin and Tuolumne Counties.
