The Hospital Council is committed to supporting quality
improvement activities, promoting patient safety, and providing
education to help hospitals understand, prepare, and implement
changes consistent with healthcare reform.
The Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) was established in April
2013 to realize statewide impact of improving patient safety and
quality care for all Californians, to accelerate the rate of
improvement, and to advance California as a national leader in
quality performance.
HQI is a collaboration of California Hospital Association,
Hospital Council Northern and Central California, Hospital
Association of Southern California and Hospital Association of
San Diego and Imperial Counties.
