St. Rose Hospital in Hayward is losing money to the tune of $1
million a month. The private nonprofit hospital has been
operating in Hayward for 50 years, but the question now is how to
keep its doors open.
“The way we’re organized right now makes it difficult to maintain
a sustainable future,” said St. Rose CEO Michael Mahoney.
