The Hanford Adventist Medical Center was recognized by Healthgrades for being in the top 10 percent in the nation for joint replacement care.
Every year, Healthgrades evaluates the performance of nearly 4,500 hospitals for 34 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.

As the first ambulance arrived at the Family Birth Center at Adventist Medical Center – Hanford approximately at 8:34 a.m. on March 6, staff at the new $40 million state-of-the-art facility were waiting for their first patient to come through their doors.
And a minute and a half later, with cheers and applause the staff welcomed Melanie Balandrán, 21, of Lemoore, with her baby girl Alina Marie Múñoz, the first obstetrics patients of the birth center. (Vida en el Valle)
From the outside to the rooms inside, the new $45 million dollar Family Birth Center at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford is state-of-the-art. But much of what’s done inside will stay the same.
“It continues the tradition of the Central Valley General Hospital, which has been delivering babies for many, many years,” said Adventist Health Central Valley Network CEO Wayne Ferch. “So we view it as incredible improvement in the patient experience and our employee experience.” (KFSN TV-Fresno)
Adventist Health will break ground on a new family birth center in Hanford on Oct. 10.
The center, sited next to the Adventist Medical Center at 115 Mall Drive in Hanford, will feature 34 beds—10 for labor and delivery, 16 for after delivery, four for evaluation and four for delivery preparation—when completed in 2015. (The Business Journal)
