Local current and proposed regulations can impede hospitals’ ability to provide quality, affordable, coordinated care in their communities.
Continue to educate local, state and federal elected officials’ legislative and regulatory staff, community leaders and community groups about the impact of local, state and federal regulations on hospitals, including the financial challenges faced by hospitals and the impact on patient care.
Actively address local/county legislative and regulatory activities as they affect hospitals.
Support CHA advocacy to respond to changes in policy and governmental mandates resulting from actions at the state and federal level, e.g. CDPH, use of hospital community benefit funds, etc.
